My Vision - In Answer to Carl Randall's kind comments

  • In response to a very positive feedback from my Facebook friend, Carl Randall.

"Melvin-Great site you've created here and you have my gratefull and humble endorsement and support. I've been checking things out and you've got something for everybody's needs. Great work." - Carl Randall

Thanks Carl! I am glad that you feel that way.

This project means a lot to me. The truth is that there are many young talented kids on the streets and I feel that through MyMusicTalk we can help them. I had a very interesting discussion with a friend and we were talking about ideas to help some of these kids prepare for auditions, learn to play in a section and many useful lessons for their future. If I can help a student pass an audition for a college or an army band, I may be saving somebody's future, maybe keeping him away from the street wasting his life.

I have a vision, where students around all the world have the same opportunities that we take for granted sometimes. Not everyone can afford to study at Berkley or Julliard. Through MySaxTalk any of our members can interact directly with some of their favorite players in the world. Starting in February they will be able to turn on their webcam and take a saxophone lesson right in our website.

We all talk about how bad the music industry is. If we want to turn it around we have to start by changing the education model also.

We have well known musicians in US, Peru and Brazil donating their time and talents to help these young kids. If we can all contribute with a small piece of rock, we can help build a great foundation for the future generation of musicians.
