The cel phone has become a part of our live, but when you are playing at a gig, or at a band practice, should you have it turned on? Do you put it in your music stand?
I think that you should keep your cel phone turned off and put away during practices, recording sessions, rehearsals and live presentations. Besides being a big distraction, a cel phone can create interference with wireless mic signals and other audio equipment.
Professional athletes are not allowed to use their cel phones during a game, I believe a good band leader would prohibit the use of cel phones.
