Melvin Llord (Admin) What do you have now? Are you looking for more volume, more control? Is it for playing solo or in section?
      • August 25, 2012
    • David Ingram
Nelson Garcia I agree with Melvin !!! It all depends what you are looking for in volume, control , soloist etc. I have a few at store www.saxmart.com that you can look at , all Theo Wanne and some Delacole jazz for tenor sax

There are a number of really good/useful sax sounds on all of them using Matt Traum's patches (www.patchmanmusic.com) and are all designed for wind controllers. I primarily play a Yamaha WX5, but also play my Akai 4000s on some occasions. As far as software based sax sounds...probably the best right now are Mr. Sax T and Mr. Sax A. I have Mr. Sax T (tenor) but just got tired of messing with the software to get a good sax sound. As I'm a sax player...I normally play one of my "real" saxes for those voices and use my EWI/Synths for other sounds.  less
